Provably Fair System
100% transparent, verified by Solana blockchain
HOW RANDOMNESS WORKS
PADDOCK uses Solana blockchain block hashes as the source of randomness - not hidden server-side random number generators. This means every race outcome can be independently verified by anyone.
System polls Solana blockchain every 5 seconds for new block hashes
Only slots ending in "8" are used (e.g., 12345678, 12345688)
Formula: blockHash % playerCount = moving horse index
All hashes are public, immutable, and verifiable on Solana Explorer
TECHNICAL DETAILS
- - RPC Provider: Helius (primary), Solana Public (fallback)
- - Poll Interval: 5 seconds
- - Slot Filter: Suffix "8" (every ~10th slot)
- - Each valid block = 1 step for selected horse
- - First to 12 steps = winner
VERIFY YOURSELF
- 1. Open "Provably Fair" panel during race
- 2. Note the Solana slot number and block hash
- 3. Look up slot on Solana Explorer
- 4. Confirm block hashes match exactly
-
5.
Calculate:
hash % players= horse index
WHY THIS IS TRULY FAIR
Block hashes are determined by Solana validators, not our servers
No one can predict future block hashes before they're mined
Every race result can be verified on public Solana blockchain

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is PADDOCK custodial?
PADDOCK uses a derived HD wallet per user for deposits. You always connect via Phantom and can withdraw anytime. You never share your seed phrase - we only get a signed message to verify ownership.
What if race doesn't start?
If the 3-minute countdown ends with less than 2 players, an automatic full refund is sent to all queued players' deposit wallets.
How long does a race take?
Race duration varies based on player count and block hash timing. A horse needs 12 steps to win. With 10 players, races typically last around 5 minutes. Fewer players = shorter races.
Where is my race history?
Open your profile dropdown in the PADDOCK sidebar. You'll see your race history, payment transactions, and achievements.
How do I get support?
Use official links in the PADDOCK app footer. Never trust unsolicited DMs asking for funds, seed phrases, or wallet access.
